Is this CBD? What's Full-spectrum Hemp Extract?

Full-spectrum Hemp Extract and CBD are, in fact, the same thing. There have been some restrictions by the FDA on using the CBD abbreviation.

Can I see your Certificate of Analysis?

You sure can! Click here or navigate over to the Lab Results tab!

Will I fail a drug test?

We're not medical professionals. We would like to advise you to talk to your medical professional about how to best use CBD, and if in doubt, don't!

How much do I take?

These products are not presently regulated by the FDA, so there’s really no standardized dose. We recommend starting with a half a dropperful (or 20 mg) of the tincture twice a day. You may need less or more depending on what you’re using CBD for! Experimentation is the only way forward at this time. The topicals should be used with moderation.

What is CBD good for?

We hear the most reports of pain relief from CBD. However, we have customers who use it to support any number of chronic and pain issues. At this time, there are really no definitive answers about what it can be good for. We strongly recommend talking with your physician before you start taking CBD!

Will these products get me high?

They will not. CBD and THC are both present in all cannabis plants. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids. Hemp that grows with higher levels of CBD and lower levels of THC are what we make our products from. All of our products are below the .3% THC recommended threshold.

What does 40 mg/mL mean?

It means there are 40 milligrams of CBD in each milliliter of oil. We use top-quality CBD extract made from plants grown by our network of producers in all of our products. We use hemp seed oil that we manufacture as the carrier oil.

Wait. So how much CBD is in each bottle?

1200 mg in the 30 mL bottle (30 mL is ~1 oz), 400 mg in the 10 mL bottle (10 mL is a bit less than half an ounce), and 2400 mg in the 60 mL bottle (60 mL is ~ 2 oz).

Why is the price so high? The gas station has CBD oil for $20.

There are a few factors at play in this answer. Often, CBD from the gas station or bodega is marketed with misleading information. For example, a bottle of CBD reads 325 mg on a one-ounce (or 30 mL) package; this is misleading because it fails to break down the potency, in this case ~ 11 mg/mL--ours is almost 4 times that! Most CBD tincture is also made with an inexpensive, highly processed carrier oil like MCT (medium-chain triglyceride coconut oil). Finally, a lot of the CBD products on the market do not contain the advertised amount of CBD--many contain no CBD at all! Our products are carefully formulated, manufactured, and tested to make sure you’re getting what you pay for.

What about drug interactions?

We strongly recommend talking with a physician before you start taking CBD, and be honest about any prescriptions or supplements you’re using now. CBD is not yet regulated by the FDA, and while we are sure there will be loads of studies conducted over the next several years, there have not been so many yet.

Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?

You may. THC is present in *most* of our CBD products--except the THC-free tincture. If your job depends on passing a drug test, we do not recommend using any of the CBD products besides the THC-free.

Is CBD safe for my pets?

Many folks use CBD products on their pets. We recommend talking with your vet to see what they would recommend before starting your pet on CBD.

Is CBD safe for my children?

We do not recommend giving CBD products to children without the supervision of a physician.
